The Champion Within

Have you ever noticed a champion racehorse, the kind you might see at the Kentucky Derby or another prestigious horse race? Those Thoroughbreds often have generation after generation of winners in their blood.

When that colt is first born, however, it may not look like much. His legs may be wobbly, he may not be able to stand up, and he may not be that all that attractive. But the owners don't get worried or discourage. They don't say, "Oh, no; this horse is a reject. He's not a Thoroughbred; look at him! His legs are too small. His stride is too short. His body is not strong and muscular." No, those owner know that in his blood, that colt carries a legacy of championship-winning genes. He's a winner in making.

That's how you need to see yourself. You may have some flaws or weakness. You may not be the most beautiful or the most talented or the most intelligent, but that's okay. In your bloodline, you come form a long line of CHAMPIONS. You may not realize it right now, but your DNA is filled with strength, courage, ability, favor, and determination. You are full of can-do power. It doesn't matter what your current condition looks like. You may have some addiction or insecurities; you may not think you have what it takes to succeed, but that doesn't change what God put within you. You are the seed of Almighty God; the Psalmist said, "You have been fearfully and wonderfully made." Start seeing yourself as God sees you - as His child, strong, empowered, and filled with possibilities.

Winning is in the blood. God has already crowned you a champion.

What the Scriptures say

"For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by Him we cry, Abba, Father. The spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children."
 Romans 8:15-16

"Those who have faith are blessed with Abraham, the man of faith."
Galatians 3:9

Takeaway truth
God has programmed me with everything I need for victory. I have what it takes. I am more than a conqueror. I am intelligent; I am talented; I am successful; I am attractive; I am an overcomer.
